Celebrating Armed Forces Day
Our military macaw is helping us spread the word that we’re celebrating the forthcoming Armed Forces Day by offering FREE ENTRY to DZC for Armed Forces Personnel.
Throughout Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25, veterans and serving personnel can enjoy a complimentary visit to DZC, when accompanied by a full-paying adult or child.
Come and tour our 40-acre site and discover more about the hundreds of species we have on site, from impressive great apes, to our littlest leaf-cutting ants – and don’t forget to stop off at our aviary and say hello to our stunning military macaws, who are so called due to their green plumage which is thought to resemble the colours in military parade uniforms.
Tickets for Armed Forces weekend must be pre-booked online and a valid MOD card, Veterans Card or Defence Discount Card will need to be presented on arrival.
Please note, the Armed Forces ticket is at the bottom of the list and is only valid on either June 24 and 25. Only pre-booked online tickets will be accepted on the day.
